"Invest in Your Future" Donation Drive

The 2021 Alaska Hospice & Palliative Nurse Association (AK HPNA) Donation Drive is focused on "Investing in Our Future." Nurses are often the people to care for us and our families from the moment we enter this world to the moment we leave. Alaska nurses deserve our respect and support. One way you can support them is to help them gain specialty training in hospice and palliative care. This year, the AK HPNA had the honor and privilege to see 5 nurses complete the inaugural "Let's Study Together" Program which was funded through the support of grants from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation, and the Providence Medical Group Palliative Care Department. To repay our gratitude, the AK HPNA plans to continue what the grants from these organizations started.

So, for the 2022 year's "Let's Study Together" program, we are asking for financial support from the Alaska community. We need to raise $3845 total, which is $670.00 per nurse participant, along with updated educational materials for the facilitators (AK specialty trained nurses). For each nurse participant, they will gain HPNA membership (and all of their resources), a text, an online review course, the CHPN exam, and a free-8 week-long support group ("Let's Study Together") facilitated by Alaska specialty nurses who donate many hours of their time to answer questions, guide learning, and provide mentorship.

Any amount of donation is appreciated, and remember supporting nurses is a way to "Invest in Your Future."
